Volunteers

More than 500 volunteers are needed to ensure that the Tempe Festival of the Arts runs smoothly, maintaining only the highest levels of quality and guest satisfaction.  Festival volunteers work a variety of three-hour shifts from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily, including the following opportunities:

EVENT AMBASSADOR: Greet patrons as they enter the event and pass out programs.

CLEAN UP: Help make the event a cleaner place while strolling throughout the seven city blocks that the festival encompasses.

SODA BOOTHS: Sell sodas to thirsty patrons while raising money for participating charities.

ARTIST CHECK-IN: Meet the artists and assist them with check-in. (This is only available on the Thursday before the event from 12:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.)

AWARDS DINNER: Serve at the Artist Awards Dinner on Saturday evening.

BOOTH SITTER: Assist with communication between staff and artists, and watch over booths while artists take a 10-15 minute break.

All volunteers will receive an official festival t-shirt.  In addition, charitable organizations selected to participate will receive proceeds from the festival’s beverage sales.

Non-Profit Partners Program
This event is a non-profit event and we do not allow other non-partners to participate unless there is s mutual benefit to the event and the non-profit.

An example of our non- profit partners- Our Volunteer program. We select 3 organizations to participate. They provide volunteers for clean up, booth sitters, soda sales, ambassadors, etc. These groups provide onsite management of the volunteers and at the end, we donate a portion of our soda sales to their cause. This program is currently not open for applications.

If you have an idea or suggestion of a benefit for your organization and the event, we would be interested.

Each organization will have a contract that is unique to their participation. We cannot allow any organizations that do not meet the event mission or goals.

Charitable organizations interested in providing volunteers and submitting applications to receive proceeds, send a written letter including contact information, the purpose of the organization, and use of the proposed funding to the following address:
