2015 Fall Chalk-A-Lot Mural Contest Form [ TBA / coming soon ]

Chalk-a-lot Best In Show

Lori Antoinette of Palmdale, CA won Best In Show Chalk Mural with her “trompe l’oeil” version of a little girl. One had to stand in a certain place to see the image properly because of the trompe l’oeil perspective distortion of the image.

Join the newest chalk mural contest and vie for prizes or just sign up on site to have fun! For competing muralists who apply for our contest, we will select up to 10 artists or teams by jury for our three-day competition. Chosen artists and teams will be competing for the Festival’s Grand Prize of $250, plus a $50 downtown Tempe gift card, and an archival copy of the 2015 Fall Festival’s commemorative poster, featuring the Featured Artist Geoffrey Aaron Harris’ “Midnight Invasion.” Anyone can apply.

The festival also will offer students, children, parents and attendees a chance to join in the fun. Small spaces will be available to walk-up festival attendees who would like to try their hand at creating chalk art.

For $5 festival-goers can purchase a commemorative box of 12 quality, colorful soft pastels to color a space and the public can sign up on-site for participation.
