In addition, we will select up to 10 artists or teams by jury of all applications to create street murals to compete for prizes. These artists and teams will be competing for the Festival’s Grand Prize of $250, plus a $50 downtown Tempe gift card, and an archival copy of the 2015 Spring Festival’s commemorative poster, featuring the Featured Artist Andrea Merican’s watercolor “Just Breathe.” Anyone can apply.

The festival also will offer students, children, parents and attendees a chance to join in the fun. Small spaces will be available to walk-up festival attendees who would like to try their hand at creating chalk art. For $5 festival-goers can purchase a commemorative box of 12 quality, colorful soft pastels to color a space and the public can sign up on-site for participation.
