Kid-Friendly Programming

It's never too early to pique children's creative interests. There is plenty of interactive, kid-friendly programming throughout the festival for the next generation of art enthusiasts to explore. 

Kids Block

This Spring we are implementing a new kids area that incorporates A) things for them to do and B) artwork made by their peers.  There will be a multiple creation stations that will be made possible by the following community partners:

Chalk-a-Lot Street

On 4th Street west of Mill Avenue

Where the sidewalk ends, Chalk-a-lot Street begins! Watch expert chalk artists create original street are exhibitions and vie for prizes in the Chalk-A-Lot Chalk Art Contest. Join last Fall's mural contest winner Tracy Hill, who joins us as our exhibition Guest Artist. Or, join in the fun yourself! Anyone at the Festival can make their own mini-mural and receive their official Chalk-A-Lot Chalk Kit to use and take home for just $5.


Street Performers

Live Entertainment is stationed throughout the Festival for your enjoyment, including face and henna painters, musicians, unicyclists, caricature artists, balloon twisters, and more.
